This Sunday Will Telecast The Live Presentation Of The Lagos Bicycle Competition

 The Lagos State Sports Commission, on behalf of the Lagos State government, is supporting the competition. The event will be held on Ikoyi’s Dolphin Estate loop. Andrea Tonti, an ex-Tour de France rider, was a special guest at last year’s event. Teams will compete in six categories: professional male/female, masters male/female, and junior male/female.

The mission of the Cycology Riding Club is to encourage grassroots cycling while promoting a healthy lifestyle. The criterium’s goal, according to SCF, is to promote cycling as a sport and a recreational activity among Nigerians. One of the aims is to grow cycling to the same level as football in Nigeria, as said by SCF chairman Faiz Imam. He further adds, ‘we see a representative of Nigeria in international events like the Tour de France.‘
